Pictured here are studio images of Fabian Ramírez during his recent artist residency at the Young Art Residency, Weidingen, Germany, a private, non profit initiative that provides residents with the unique opportunity to engage with Weidingen and its surrounding areas.
Weidingen is known as an international cultural crossroad, lying at the border of Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
The artist has spent much of this time creating a new expanded series of large-scale paintings that stem from his recent journey into the Mexican jungle and across the border of Guatemala to learn traditional ceramic burning techniques and new methods of creation.
