COMA is pleased to announce the representation of Puuni Brown Nungarrayi (b.1979). Nungarrayi is of the Luritja lamguage group and grew up watching her mother and prominent Western Desert artist, Isobel Gorey, paint. Reinventing and reimagining her mother's Kapi Tjukurrpa (Water Dreaming), she has crafted a visual language distinctly her own, cultivating and nurturing one of the most significant movements in Australian history.
Nungarrayi will be presenting a new body of work with COMA at Melbourne Art Fair in early 2025.
Nungarrayi currently lives and works in Papunya, Northern Territory, Australia.
