Fabian Ramírez is currently completing a one month residency at The La Brea Studio Residency, Los Angeles as part of The Cabin LA. Founded and run by artist and collector Danny First, Ramírez will use his time at the residency to create and realise new pieces that continue his discussion around shamanism, its roots in modern society and its influence on psychedelia, the idea of conquering perception is still at the forefront of these paintings. They are ecstatic and intended to flit between a position of both hyper-visibility and then at times somehow imperceptible.
COMA will be showcasing Fabian Ramírez’s work again in late 2024 for the artists second solo presentation with the gallery.
