Zara June Williams

Zara June Williams’ (b. 1990) practice explores the oscillating states of order and disorder embodied in cycles of thought and habit. Her works stem from a nonlinear and playful approach to painting and collage. Through recurrent destruction and renewal, Williams creates highly compressed, multi-layered surfaces that reflect the reality of constant change.
Zara June Williams completed a Master of Fine Arts at the National Art School in 2018. She was granted the Lift Off Award enabling her to relocate to Germany, where she resided until 2021. In 2019 she completed the international artist residency at Pilotenkueche in Leipzig and has since participated in numerous exhibitions in both Sydney and abroad.
